Your use of the word “complicity” makes it sound like you think the (dis)United States should do something about Ethiopia. When do we get involved in other countries’ affairs and when don’t we? Should we continue to be the policeman for the world?
Both good questions. Global superpowers have long sought to control the Horn. The USSR, (d)USA, and now China, Russia, and Islamic fundamentalists. We naively bought what AA was selling because we thought he’d favor us over the other three. All to the detriment of the Ethiopian people.
