The “Lutes Meet & Greets” are back. I am pro “meet and greet”; however, at least one significant underrepresented group is missing. If the goals of these are, as I suspect, to improve retention, the missing group represents serious, low-hanging fruit. There are several possible answers, but only one correct one. Can you guess it?

Shortly after moving to Oly and getting to know new folks, I mentioned that Eric was a PLU grad. They said “Oh I know Eric Larsen from PLU” and I made note of how cool that was. Instant connection! Of course, when relaying that to Eric, he burst my new friendship bubble with a snarky “There were 9 Eric Larsens in my dorm alone”.
So clearly, the Larsen Lutes are missing from the meet-up calendar. Or what you would probably call the Lute Lutes :)
